TIPS FOR 

INTERVIEWS:


RESUMES:
  • Update your resume with all past employment info.
  • Check spelling, grammar and punctuation.
  • Confirm email and phone number are correct (make sure you still have access to your email).
  • Update your profiles on job boards and upload most current resumes.
  • Most companies are moving to video interviews, be prepared:
  • Login 5-10 minutes prior to interview time.
  • Test your camera to make sure everything is working correctly.
  • Check your background, make sure it's presentable.
  • Dress appropriately just like an in-person interview.
  • Sit up straight and have your camera at face level.

APPLICATIONS: 
  • Be as flexible as possible with your availability to work different shifts.
  • Answer all questions on the applications, do not skip any even if they are repetitive.
  • Provide detailed answers to open ended questions, check spelling, grammar and punctuation before submitting application.

LIVE STREAMING SERVICES:
  • Sony's Crackle is an ad-supported streaming service, one that offers both movies and TV shows -- including some original content.
  • IMDb TV      ad-supported movie streaming service can be accessed only on PCs and within Prime Video and IMDb apps. 
  • The Internet Archive is home to all things public domain, including thousands of feature-length movies mostly classic films.
  • Plex app offers an admirably simple portal to news, podcasts, web shows and other content as well.
  • Pluto is a great place to find on-demand movies
  • Roku Channel isn't a free-movie provider, but rather an aggregator of new and existing no-cost content.
  • Tubi TV offers content from studios including Lionsgate, MGM and Paramount.
  • Vudu video service ad-supported section, lets you choose from a generous selection of movies to watch at no charge. This option does require a Vudu account, but it's free to set one up.

Open Culture 

This collection provides a list of free educational resources for K-12 students (kindergarten through high school students) and their parents and teachers.

Education.com 

Bring learning to life with thousands of worksheets, games, and more from Education.com. Explore fun online activities for K-5 students covering math, ELA, science, & more!

Audible Stories 

Amazon's Audible has launched Audible Stories, a new service providing free audiobooks to kids and teenagers everywhere. 

HIGH SCHOOL/COLLEGE/ STANDARIZED TEST PREP

Study Guide Zone 

Although the website looks outdated, Study Guide Zone is a great place for free resources for any student who is looking for a way to improve the scores on a standardized test. The website offers study exams for SAT, ACT, and GED among many other tests.

GoConqr 

This platform has it all - mind maps, flashcards, slides, flowcharts, quizzes, and notes. You can create your own study materials and share them with the community, or you can use ones from the vast library other users created.

JSTOR 

JSTOR is a digital library of academic resources, they have more than 6,000 ebooks and 150 journals available.

Internet Archive’s National Emergency Library 

Internet Archive has created a National Emergency Library so anyone can continue to borrow books. It has suspended waitlists for the 1.4 million books in its digitized collection until June 30, ensuring students and teachers can still access materials while physical libraries in many parts of the world have closed their doors.

Coursera        

This is one of the most valuable learning resources on the web. Students can find free courses provided by prestigious universities. Hundreds of free courses give you access to on-demand video lectures, homework exercises, and community discussion forums.

Alison.com        

Alison.com is a website founded with a noble goal: to enable anyone to receive free education of high quality.

Saylor        

If you are looking for free classes on all sorts of subjects, this is the place where you can find them.

Professional Photographers of America        

Professional Photographers of America (PPA) has opened up its entire catalogue of online photography courses to everyone free of charge. There are over 1,100 courses to choose from across a variety of topics for beginners and more advanced photographers alike.

Nikon School Online        

The PPA isn't the only organization lending a helping hand to creatives stuck indoors. Camera maker Nikon, too, is helping those who are keen on photography find new ways to be creative. The camera brand is making all of its online classes available to stream online for free for the month of April, offering something for photographers of all skill levels.
